A Short History of Nearly Everything

I love science and technology.  That said, I am neither a scientist nor a “techie”.  That’s why Bill Bryson’s book fascinated me so.  Each page contains a treasure trove of useful and interesting information about everything in our world.

Bryson is a great writer, and I love his sense of humor.  The fact is this book brings about the absolute wonder that the scientific world is.  It covers everything from relativity, geology, chemistry, particle physics to you name it!  In fact it takes you from outer space and back again.

When he wrote this book, he must have known that not all of us find science or technology “exciting”.  This book is a must read for anyone that has ever wondered, anything, about practically anything even remotely connected to the world of science. As Amazon puts it, “It is Bill Bryson’s quest to understand everything that has happened from the Big Bang to the rise of civilization... Science has never been more involving or entertaining.”
